this is a *proper* throwback post! I thought I’d feature something from the archives tonight – but not my archives, those of my mum and dad!

#wickedwednesday – the animals take back the farm
C was having fun putting all the pigs in the pen, O was nowhere to be seen (probably climbing on something or someone….), I decided to have some fun of my own with the farmyard animals at play group….

I am a clothes finding ninja. {bows slowly}
As we sat down for coffee a couple of weeks ago, my friend Katie said to me “you like looking at websites for children’s clothes, right?” It was disappointing to hear this from a woman who has become a great friend of mine over the last three years (we paid to be each other’s friend we met at NCT classes) as when she said that, I felt like she DIDN’T KNOW ME AT ALL.

c’est très magique! outfit of the day
Today it’s all about Otis. His sister is such a whirlwind that quite often she takes over, commands attention, leaving poor old Mr Fox (called so as Fox is his middle name) to wonder what might have been, but happily get on with playing with whichever toy he has managed to steal from his older sister or climb on whichever piece of furniture is in his path.
give a kid the right pair of shoes…. part 3!
With the third in the series, you’ve always got a LOT to live up to. You can either crash and burn (see: the godfather 3), or you can go out in a blaze of glory (see: toy story 3) and leave people devastated that the emotional rollercoaster of the three parter has come to an end.

friday focus – Donna Wilson for John Lewis
Ugh, it’s Friday. TFIF. This week has been a bit of an up and down one in the LKS house, with stuff that I wouldn’t dare bore you with, otherwise you’d never come back to visit me. And I can’t have that, so I won’t go into any more detail other than to say TFIF and this week is over 🙂
I needed a bit of self love on Thursday afternoon (no sniggering in the back!), plus the kids needed new shoes, so off we went to my happy place bluewater (again). I’m sure any other parent will appreciate the sheer unbridled joy of a free parent and child space right next to one of your favourite shops, so straight into John Lewis we went.
outfit of the day #2 – a day at the park
Another beautiful day, another opportunity to keep out the summer clothes to try and get maximum wear out of them!
Today’s outfit is a new favourite – a denim jumpsuit from baby Gap, a bomber style cardigan from Zara Baby, and her favourite ‘candles’ from m&s. The bomber cardie is probably too small for her now, it fit her really nicely last summer – I’m quite upset it won’t last another year!
give a kid the right pair of shoes…. pt2!
You may remember that one of my first posts was on school shoes, and the best of the bunch for back to school. Well I’m a total sucker for a cute little pair of shoes, and ended up bookmarking over THIRTY pairs of shoes for the post. That’s too many for one post (even for me!) so lucky you gets another post from me!. In the meanwhile, I managed to find sooo many more cutesy and cool pairs of shoes and boots, that I felt the shoes deserved their own post, and the boots deserved another, so now there’s going to be a part 3! A veritable trilogy of shoes and boots, if you will! Can you imagine anything any better?!
2 for the price of 1! #wickedwednesday
Oops, was so busy last night that I forgot to blog this! My dear friend Fran, who is a social media whizz and all round ace person, pointed me in the direction of wickedwednesday, which comes from the brilliant brummymummyof2 – a lady who appears to be from the same school of mums that I do (see her 10 signs you are the owner of a toddler girl – I read this ages ago before I actually started blogging, and wept and nodded and knew that THIS WOMAN GOT ME).
throwback thursday #2
remember in this post where I mentioned that my husband had dressed our daughter in a fluoro orange top, rainbow leggings and red shoes?
Today’s #throwbackthursday is back to that very outfit – it needs to be seen to be believed…..
