outfit of the day #2 – a day at the park

Another beautiful day, another opportunity to keep out the summer clothes to try and get maximum wear out of them!

Today’s outfit is a new favourite – a denim jumpsuit from baby Gap, a bomber style cardigan from Zara Baby, and her favourite ‘candles’ from m&s. The bomber cardie is probably too small for her now, it fit her really nicely last summer – I’m quite upset it won’t last another year!

give a kid the right pair of shoes…. pt2!

You may remember that one of my first posts was on school shoes, and the best of the bunch for back to school.  Well I’m a total sucker for a cute little pair of shoes, and ended up bookmarking over THIRTY pairs of shoes for the post. That’s too many for one post (even for me!) so lucky you gets another post from me!. In the meanwhile, I managed to find sooo many more cutesy and cool pairs of shoes and boots, that I felt the shoes deserved their own post, and the boots deserved another, so now there’s going to be a part 3! A veritable trilogy of shoes and boots, if you will! Can you imagine anything any better?!

2 for the price of 1! #wickedwednesday

Oops, was so busy last night that I forgot to blog this! My dear friend Fran, who is a social media whizz and all round ace person, pointed me in the direction of wickedwednesday, which comes from the brilliant brummymummyof2 – a lady who appears to be from the same school of mums that I do (see her 10 signs you are the owner of a toddler girl – I read this ages ago before I actually started blogging, and wept and nodded and knew that THIS WOMAN GOT ME).

one item, three ways – green dungaree dress

I absolutely adore my children. They are funny, spirited (yes, they’re *those* sorts of kids….), humorous, and affectionate (oh, so very affectionate, it’s quite endearing if slightly inappropriate at some points – my son’s open mouthed kisses, for instance….).

But FARK ME they are expensive little buggers.

outfit of the day #1

A lovely day here today – I made sure I offset the boringness of an epic supermarket shop with a trip to the playground on our estate. Coco and Otis are looking forward to the schools going back – not because they’re old enough to go, but because they get their normal play areas and haunts back again from the big kids! And I’ll admit I’m secretly looking forward to it too.

goodnight sweetheart

Today did not go to plan. Last night I had all sorts of plans to research, or photograph the remainder of my baby clothes to sell {sob}. But Otis was really poorly as I was getting him ready for bed, and then was ill during the night. I slept on his bedroom floor just to make sure he was ok overnight (last time he had a sickness bug he ended up being hospitalised) so today was spent in pyjamas.

give a kid the right pair of shoes…pt1

So, like I said on my post earlier in the week on back to school stationery, my kids aren’t old enough to go to school – Coco is nearly 3 and Otis is a tender 16mo. Still, I have managed to get caught up in the Back To School hysteria. It’s partly my own fault – Bluewater shopping centre is round the corner from my house, and it’s my default place to go when the kids need a bit of fresh air (read: I could do with a latte) so I’ve been a keen observer of all the new season’s drops.

back to school

My kids aren’t old enough to go to school, in fact I can’t ever imagine that either of them will ever be old enough to wear school uniform and be anything other than the beautiful angelic little toddlers that they are *continues to look through rose tinted glasses*. However, on an increasingly frequent basis I am reminded that my children are getting bigger, and growing up at the speed of light before my eyes – this is mostly when Coco has a teenage sulk over me denying her her choice of accessory from H&M, or when she does not agree with my choice of dinner. You cannot eat sausages EVERY NIGHT, Coco.
