fantastic mr fox

Animal prints are *everywhere* this autumn/winter season. They have been for a couple of years, but there seems to have been an explosion of them recently. This can be good (i.e. on kids, it’s mega cute) but this has been bad (i.e. on adult christmas style jumpers – these are Never Good and Not Cute).

I am a *particular* sucker for a fox print. They’re not the nicest animals on the block – my ransacked dustbin and black bags strewn around my cul-de-sac is testament to that. But, in cartoon form certainly, they don’t half make for cute little things on a t-shirt. The other reason is that my son’s middle name is Fox, and so as soon as I see a t-shirt / jumper / pair of socks with a fox on it, it’s usually in a carrier bag faster than you can say ‘fantastic mr fox’.

Today I’ve brought together the best of the fox prints that I could find – mostly from the high street, although there were some super cute girls’ items that I just couldn’t resist, so maybe these are ones for the wish list 🙂

There’s loads of stuff with foxes on in John Lewis for boys at the moment – I have to admit that Otis has both the grey jumper, and also the green striped top

I also managed to find some more items that I wanted to include, though the Polyvore app refused to cooperate, so have a look at these:
Toby Tiger long sleeved tshirt, £21.99 (though currently out of stock, boo)
George at Asda Fox beanie hat, £4 (1 – 12 years)
George at Asda fox jumper, from £8 (4 – 14 years)

What do you think? Super cute, or just a little bit twee? And also, how much will my son resent me when I’m older for dressing him in foxes, and for giving him *that* middle name?!?
