Ooh, hello.
How are you today? Welcome to littlekidstyle 🙂
I’m not a little kid, but I have two of them, and I spend faaaaar too much of my time deciding what to dress them in in the mornings, walking around shops making mental shopping lists, scouring Pinterest and making wish lists, and generally waiting for the moment that I win the lottery and can build walk in wardrobes for my kids in my sprawling mansion estate in north Norfolk.
My daughter, Coco, is nearly 3. She’s a diva of the highest sort, but is an affectionate, chatterbox, crazy little girl. She once had a 10 minute tantrum because her sleeves were 3/4 length and not full length. The apple does not fall far from the tree.
My son, Otis, is 16m. He is also affectionate, and loves to MOVE. And CLIMB. And SHOOOOUUUUUUUUUT. Thankfully he doesn’t have tantrums over what and what not to wear, so I’ve got free range until then 😉
But until I have my heyooooge house in the country filled with all sorts of lovely, individual and cool things, I thought I’d just write about the kind of stuff I’d like to put my kids in, and the stuff I might actually dress them in. I’m a bit of a sucker for interiors too (again, just waiting for that big country house….) so will drop a bit of that in too. I’ll be focussing on brands that I love, whats in the high street and the supermarkets, and will have regular Outfits Of The Day. I’ll be honest and say I don’t bother dressing my kids in designer stuff – I can’t afford it, plus my son would probably make sure that within 5 minutes of putting a designer item on, it would be covered in banana mush and soggy cornflakes. Oh, the glamour.
Today, as it’s essentially my first day at school, I’m starting off easy, with an Outfit Of The Day. It’s Bank Holiday Monday today, and has been raining All Day, so today has been a comfy clothes and DVD day.
I love the supermarkets for clothes, although I find some better than others as they can be a bit hit and miss. Coco’s tshirt is by Cherokee from Tesco, and her harem trousers by Tu at Sainsburys. The tshirt is oooooold, and the trousers are from last season, but I can’t imagine they were any more than £12ish. A perfect outfit for binge watching Pixar movies.
So that’s it for today, I’ll be back tomorrow with another outfit of the day, hopefully you’ll see fit to come back too.
